Freelancing Gig doesn't provide any work.It only provides a platform to find the work.

1.Fill out a short registration form. You'll be asked to create a unique username to identify you on our portal. You'll also need to provide a valid email address and confirm that you've read the Terms and Conditions. That's it. You don't need to give any personal information on starting Up.You can signup here.
2.Confirm your email address.When you submit the registration form, there is a email verification link will appears on top of your dashboard.You have to click on the link and we will send you a link to your email address that you enter during registration. Follow the link in the email to activate your Freelancinggig's account.
3.Create your profile. Take a few minutes to provide some information about yourself and/or your business. This is an opportunity to let the Freelancinggig community know who you are as a person and what you're looking for professionally, so fill out your profile completely, and make sure it is free of typos, spelling mistakes, and grammatical errors.

User Profile

Your username is permanent.It can't be changed.

To delete your account follow these steps:
    1. Login to your freelancingGig account.
    2. Click your profile picture at the top right corner of your dashboard.
    3. Select "Settings".
    4. Select "Delete Account".
    5. Select the appropriate reason for deleting your account.
    6. Hit the "Delete Account" button.

Our portal freelancinggig doesn't reveal any of the private information to any other. Information of the employer is kept secret and within the portal only.

You can change your account password by navigating through link "Settings" in the header section under your profile name tab. Clicking on the link will redirects to the "Settings" page.There you can find the "Change Password" section in the left panel.You can change it from there.

You can add your experience and education details on your account by navigating through link "Settings" in the header section under your profile name tab.Clicking on the link will redirects to the "Settings" page and there you can select "Add skills" and add your qualifications.

One important part of the account setup process is verifying your email. You have to verify your email with the portal by click on "Verify Email" link in the header bar on your Dashboard.

You can upload your portfolio by navigating through link "Settings" in the header section under your profile name tab. Clicking on the link will redirects to the "Settings" page.There you can select the "Portfolio" section in the left panel and upload your portfolio.
After successful uploading you can see your portfolio on profile under my portfolio section.

Post Project

Every one can post projects with required details.

You can see our privacy and policies here.

Yes,our portal provide you a permission to cancel particular project.You can go to "Projects" in the sub header.

Yes, you can edit the project until you haven't received the bids. Once the bidding starts, you won't be able to edit the project.

You are allowed to upload any file upto 5MB. Size greater than 5MB will not be permitted.

Bidding

Our portal charge $1 for one time sponsored bid on single project.Sponsored bids are always displayed at the top with a special "yellow" colored highlights.

Yes,you can edit your bid even after you submit on project

You can manage your jobs by clicking on "Projects" in the sub-header. There you will find a toggle button which you can use to switch between freelancer and Employer. And according to your user type you can manage your projects.

Your employer will be notified by notification on his dashboard and on email address on given the following scenarios: 1.On submit your Bid. 2.On Retract Your Bid 3.On Edit Your Bid.

You can submit your proposal during Bidding on Proposal textarea.You Proposal content should not be grammatically wrong and spelling errors.

Hourly Projects

This is the project in which the payment is made to the freelancer by the number of hours they work on that project. The freelancer will invoice you for the payment.

You can do the following steps:
1. Click on "Post Project" tab.
2. Select “Hire per hour” under Project budget tab.
3. Fill the hourly project details.
4. Click on "Post Project".

No, you can’t request escrow for hourly project.

You can do the following steps:
1. Go to “Projects” tab in the sub header and click on “Freelancer” toggle button to list all the projects you bid on as Freelancer.
2. Click on the project for which you want to generate an invoice.
3. In the “Awarded Freelancer” section click “milestones” tab.
4. Under “Milestones” tab click on “Release Milestone Request” it will generate the invoice.
5. Check for the details and hit “Submit Request”.

For client:
1.Go to “Projects” Tab in the sub header and click on “Employer” toggle button to list all the projects you posted as employer.
2.Select the project and hit the close project button.
Note: The project can be closed only when the payment is made.

For Freelancer:
1.Go to the “Projects” tab in the sub header and click on “Freelancer" toggle button to list all the projects you bid on as a freelancer.
2.Select the project and in the action column select “Request for Closure”.

You can give feedback only after you have closed the project. So for hourly projects, if you are a client then first you should close the project and then you will be prompted to give feedback on the freelancer.
If you are a freelancer then once the client has given their feedback, you will be notified about it and have the option to give the feedback on the client as well.
Note: Freelancer should give feedback on the client in order to view his feedback given by the client.

The project fee is charged on each payment as it is made to the freelancer by the client.

The project fee for hourly projects is 7%.

Yes, you can sponsor your bid for $1.00 USD.

You can hire a freelancer for as many hours as you need. While creating your project, under “Project duration”, specify the time you would like to hire the freelancer for. If you are not sure then choose the “not sure” option.

Fixed Projects

This is a project where the freelancer works for a fixed time and the payment is made after the completion of work is done within the proposed time.

You can post fixed project by following steps:
1. Click on "Post Project" tab.
2. Select “Hire for a fixed price” under Project budget tab.
3. Select Project Budget.
4. Click on "Post Project"

You can do following steps:
1. Click on “Browse Project”.
2. Select a project and click on “Bid Now”.
3. Select “Create milestone” and create your milestones.
4. Click on “Submit Bid”.

Yes, you can request escrow for fixed projects.

You can do the following steps:
1. Click on “Browse Project”.
2. Select a project and click on “Bid Now”.
3. Select “Create Milestone” and create your milestones.
4. Click on “Submit Bid”.

Once your final payment is made your project is automatically closed. You don’t have to put extra efforts for that.

If you are a client then once your final payment is made you will be prompted to give feedback on the freelancer.
If you are a freelancer, once the client has given their feedback, you will be notified about it and have the option to give the feedback to the client as well.
Note: Freelancer should give feedback to the client in order to view his feedback given by the client.

The project fee for a fixed project is 7% of project. Once you are awarded it is automatically deducted from your account.

Yes, you can sponsor your bid for $1.00 USD.

Messaging

You can view your messages by clicking on the envelope icon on the top right of your page after you logged in or you can click on your name in the menu bar and just go to the messages option.

The envelope icon at the top right of your page will notify you about any new or unread messages in your inbox.

A new conversation can only be started by the client. Once you get the bid on your project, you can find the bid notification on your dashboard and can start a conversation by clicking the send message button provided in the notification itself or you can go to the inbox by clicking the envelope icon at the top right of the page and hit the compose button. There you have to choose the project and the recipient name. Now all you have to do is type a message and hit the submit button.

Client can send a private message to any freelancer who has bid on their project.
Freelancers can send a private message to any client whose project they have bid on once the client has contacted them.

The message is delivered to the recipient and they will get a notification once you send a message.

No, you can’t remove or delete the message once it has been sent.

You can click on browse button on your inbox page, select a file and hit reply.

Invite to Bid

Yes, Client can invite any freelancer of their choice to bid on their project.

Go to the freelancer profile whom you want to invite, there at the top of profile page click on the invite button. After clicking the invite button you’ll have the option to choose the project for which you want to send the invitation. Select the project and hit send invitation. Your invitation has been successfully sent now.

You will get the notification on your dashboard about whether a freelancer has accepted your invitation or not.

Yes, you can send invitation to more than one freelancer.

Go to my project tab and select the project for which you want to send invite. On the project details page click on invite freelancers button and here you can send multiple invitations.

On bid invitation notification, just click the reject button.

Credit System

Credits are the bonus points earned by the user for completing certain actions on the site e.g. posting a project, awarding a project, completing the profile etc.

At the left sidebar of your dashboard, there is the last option “My Credits” which will show your earned credits.

At the left sidebar of your dashboard, hit the last option “My Credits” for credit history.

Yes, there are negative credits for certain actions e.g. retracting bid and revoking the project.

Award Project

You can do the following steps:
1. Under “Projects” tab click on “Employer” toggle button to list all the projects posted by you.
2. Click on the project you want to award.
3. Under “Freelancer Bidding” section there will be the list of the bidders who have bid on your project.
4. Choose the bidder and click on the “Award Project” button to award the project.

No, it is in the portal account. When you release it, it is then transferred to the freelancer account.

Yes, you can revoke the project after awarding it.

Yes, you can award the project to multiple freelancers.
Note: You can award to multiple but it is accepted by only one freelancer.

Payment

Your Escrow payment will refund to your portal account if the awarded freelancer reject on your award request. Refunded amount will be added to your previous amount.You can also see the refunded amount in the transaction history under Finances Section on header bar.

Freelancing Gig currently using PayPal,Skrill and Credit Card to fund payments through our portal.

You can deposit funds in freelancinggig.com account using PayPal, Skrill and Credit Card.To make a deposit:
1.Login to freelancinggig.com account.
2.Go to "Finanaces" tab.
3.Click on "Deposit Funds". It will redirects you to "Deposit Money" page .Enter the amount to be deposit (minimum is $5) and follow the on-screen instructions.

It is highly requested you to transact only using Freelancinggig's Payment System.

A notification appears on your dashboard that client has released the escrow.You can also see the status under the Finance Section in the header bar.

Milestone

Congratulations on hiring a Freelancer for your job and finalizing business terms! Now you have to release First Milestone Request made by the freelancer. You can accept the "milestone release request" on your dashboard made by freelancer.It will redirects to Invoice and after to the Payment Gateway. Freelancer will receive a notification about the milestone release.

FreelancingGig uses notification and messaging system for the communication between clients and freelancers. Showing Milestone Status "Pending" means the client has not reacted to your "milestone release request" yet. Please reach out to your Client, requesting to release milestone payment.

Milestones are key dates in the job schedule in which work deliverables can be reviewed, approved, and paid for. Milestones can be used to link payments with actual deliverables, or can be used simply as pre-scheduled checkpoints to help with progress and communication.
